First Discovery
 

M: Can you explain, from the start, what you saw?
S: During a routine cosmic observation shift, we noticed a sudden increase of [XXX] in the [XXX] sector. As the reading neared the first threshold mark, we dispatched the reclamation team to an approximate impact zone. First sightings appeared as a bright, glowing figure of white, with a purple trail that refracted light like a prism.

M: And after the team arrived at the location?
S: They reported the object in a large, 20 meter circumference crater. About 6 meters deep. The zone was set up in a mile perimeter with standard security measures. Routine procedures all followed.

M: Did any of the team report any effects, mental or phyiscal, upon visual of crater?
S: No obvious pains. Some report a violet to purple coloration to their vision, similar to the effects produced by the trail before the object made impact.

Q: Was there anything remarkable that you discovered during your autopsy?
F: Of course, we only read about these things, but to see how the compound flowed through the body, through the wings to the feet, was...unworldly.
G: We made several incisions on the body and drained the fluid into 10 litres of containers.

Q: How would you describe this fluid?
F: A vibrant purple that has a nice sheen like looking at oil. Refractive properties. Early signs from contact with humans proves no immediate negative results. We plan to conduct more in depth studies upon approval.

Q: And what of the body?
F: We froze it, cryogenically. It's a contingency plan in case a cross-reference is necessary.
G: Also, as it turns out, the body itself still emits some radiation in this frozen state, so we have monitors and capture methods in place to keep the levels manageable.

C: Delusions; There's figures around my vision, but its a nice shade...purple.

M: Figures? Can you describe their shapes?
C: Nebulous really. There is no clear shapes.

M: Do you feel pain? Anything negative.
C: No pain.

M: We will continue with a 20% dosage increase.
C: Affirmative.

M: When did GRID first contact you?
T: It would have been last year, around this time. Three men in dark suits, dark van. They weren't the most pleasant of people.

M: And what did they want?
T: Ah...some new experimental s***. Wanted to use the radio tower. You know, there's some weird-a** people next door, these guys.

M: I would ask you to refrain from the expletives. They are not necessary to the report.
T: My bad.

M: Continuing, what did they offer in return for using the radio tower?
T: It was only a usage fee. Like a few thousand a month for just broadcasting at night, when nobody is listening. Yeah, the graveyard listeners. Real freak hours.

M: When they broadcasted, what call sign did they use? It is required by the FCC.
T: Yeah, I'm aware. I think it was something like...89.2 Echos. WWX-FM on the papers at least.

M: Did you feel any effects from listening? Did you listen?
T: Can't say I ever felt anything good from that noise they had going. I never listened after the first time they setup; just to make sure it was working.

M: You've been very helpful Mr. [XXX].
T: Right on. So did something happen with those creeps? Lights' been off next door for awhile now.

M: Have a safe New Years.
T: (no response)

C: To my understanding, you own and operate a rental company for live events?
T: Yes, we do things like weddings and corporate events. Not only rentals. We have installed some lighting and sound systems for local clubs.

C: Installations. How often does your business do these?
T: Not very often. Not surprisingly, our last client was 3 years ago. The industry has been changing since, so we don't offer this service any more.

C: Yes, I have this client here on paper. WWX-FM. Can you explain what you did for them?
T: Experimental equipment. I'm not at liberty to say more. You may want to talk to them yourself. We just install the things. No more no less.

C: Mrs. [XXX] you're office is only just down the road to your client. This is certainly convenient for both you and this client, don't you think?
T: Certainly is. A lot of repeat business you could say.

C: How often is this repeat business?
T: Whenever they feel like it. Strange people, but I take it you know that by now.
